I suppose so, Steffe. Such houses are declared cultural heritance and are not allowed to be demolished, but no money are available for their restoration, also. So, form many years remain like this.
Athens, the capital of Greece, with more than 3.000.000 people.... It's not just ancient ruins and pollution. Its' also the suburbs, everyday people, gardens, bitter orange trees.

It's important to preserve heritage items and it is terrible to see them in ruins like that.
Too bad that it is not being restored. Maybe one day it will happen.
I love those old houses. I keep imagining living in a restored one :-)
