It is a tradition in Greece to make a wreath of flowers on May day.
We say "I caught May".
Then, hang it out of the house door or on the balcony.
The dried wreath will be thrown in one of the fires
that people light in the streets,
in June, on St John's day.

Looks good and nice tradition!
I think there was a similar tradition here, but probably was lost with the new generations.
I like traditions!
I am afraid that the second part-the burning of the wreath, is not performed widely any more.
