green salads and beetroots

Every Saturday: street market in Ilion.

(Even on Holy Saturday:
Today, people buy bunches of green onions,
lettuces and lots of dill, to cook with lamb's haslets,
and make a soup called "magiritsa",
eaten only on this day of the year.)

I like street markets, they are not so different everywhere...
Nice shot.

I agree with you: street markets are almost the same anywhere. But nevertheless, I try to visit one street market (and a supermarket, also!) in every country that I visit.

Athens, the capital of Greece, with more than 3.000.000 people....
It's not just ancient ruins and pollution.
Its' also the suburbs, everyday people, gardens, bitter orange trees.
